Our cabins are equipped with robes, alarm clocks, and hair dryers. Bring a day pack, water bottle, sunglasses, sunscreen, lip balm, swimsuit for hot tub, camera & memory cards, batteries, binoculars, any necessary medications, and chargers for your electronics.
Guests need to bring their own cross-country skiing equipment and winter wear. The ranch provides older snowshoes, toboggans, sleds and ice skates. We highly recommend dressing in layers to maximize your comfort while skiing or otherwise enjoying the outdoors. We recommend: liner socks and outer socks, long underwear (polypropylene or thin wool blend), wool or synthetic ski clothing (no cotton), wool or heavy shirt, sweater or fleece, hat and/or headband, gloves and/or mittens, scarf. For hard exercise: wind layer top and bottom. For lighter exercise in the outdoors: warm coat, snow boots.
You will need hooded mid-weight jacket for warmth in shoulder seasons, and light weight in summer. Bring layers like a sweater or hoodie since mornings and evenings can be cooler – even in summer. Pack some long sleeved shirts. Summer afternoons heat up and lightweight breathable short sleeved shirts and shorts will be preferable then. Zip off pants/shorts are a great idea in these three seasons. Hiking boots should be broken in and more sturdy than sneakers. Bring a fly rod and gear if you plan to go fishing (or rent them on the way if preferred). Our hiking trails (for group guests only) are good for biking as well and although the ranch does not supply bikes, there are local rental sources in Livingston and Bozeman that we can help you arrange. You will need raingear since mountain showers are the norm. Bring a cap for sun protection, some insect repellant, and sleepwear.
If you can’t fit it all in your suitcases, please call us about shipping something ahead. We receive FedEx, UPS, and USPS only!
